Boonununus Sweet Gizzada is an open tart of shredded coconut, brown cane sugar, and local spices baked into a light pastry shell. A delicious combination of textures and flavors; a firm plain-tasting shell with a soft, sweet, spicy, aromatic filling, thanks to nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla.

Also known as ‘pinch-me-round’, because of the wavy edges of the pastry shell. The gizzada came to Jamaica from Portugal, where a similar pastry is made.

Perfect, for example, as an after-dinner delight at a party or amongst friends.
